Replay Tampa Bay, The Tampa Bay Sports Commission, Elder Automotive, the Tampa Bay Lightning, Onbikes and Flying Fish Bikes all team up for the first time to assemble and distribute 100 brand new bikes to underprivelaged kids in the Tampa Bay community.  The bike build event benefitting United Way agencies will take place on Monday, March 28th from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. at Amalie Arena's Ford Thunder Alley. The distribution event will take place prior to doors opening for the Lightning vs. Mapleleafs game.

Unveiled in 2011, Replay Tampa Bay is an annual sporting goods drive that collects new and gently used sporting goods in an effort to keep kids in need active and “in the game”. Thanks to the partnership and teamwork between the Tampa Bay Sports Commission, Elder Automotive and the local professional team franchises, over 2000 items have been collected and distributed to local kids in need since 2011. Previously, Metropolitan Ministries, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Charities, Pinellas Sheriff’s Police Athletic League, Rich Houses and the Family Enrichment Center have been the selected recipients, and in-turn, hosted distribution events on their respective campuses.

Onbikes is a Tampa based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was formed in 2011 when a group of friends organized a community bike ride during the winter holiday season to raise funds so at-risk kids could receive their very first bike. It was an incredible success, and it was then that onbikes was born. At onbikes we are simply doing our part in restoring the self-confidence, health, and overall well-being of at-risk kids in our community.Over the past five years onbikes has provided more than 2,000 bicycles to at-risk and foster kids throughout the Tampa Bay area.
