The Extra Yard 5K
Benefiting the College Football Playoff Extra Yard for Teachers Initiative
 

GENERAL EVENT INFORMATION:

  • Date: Sunday, January 8th, 2017
  • 5K race will begin at 8:00am
  • 1 Mile Fun Run will begin at 9:00am
  • Both races will begin on the corner of Channelside Drive and South Morgan Street next to Amalie Arena

REGISTRATION:

  • Online registration closes on Friday, January 6th at 11:59 PM
  • On-site registration will take place at Packet Pickup on Saturday, January 7th from 1:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Amalie Arena and on Race Day Sunday, January 8th in the Amalie Arena Ticket Office from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.
  • Cash is preferred method of payment if registering on Race Day
  • Awards and snacks will be available near the Amalie Arena Plaza stage immediately following the race.
  • The first 1,000 registered participants will receive an Extra Yard 5K race shirt
  • Registration Fee:
    • 5K: $25 Early Bird (Before 11/1/2016 at 11:59PM EST), $30 (After 11/1/2016 at 11:59PM EST), $35 Race Day
    • 1-Mile: $15 First Registrant, $10 Each Additional 1-Mile Registration*

*Registrations must be purchased at the same time

 

PACKET PICK-UP:

 

  • Saturday, January 7, 1:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Amalie Arena
  • Sunday, January 8, 6:30 a.m. - 7:30 a.m. at Amalie Arena

PARKING:

  • Parking will be available for $5 in several parking lots surrounding Amalie Arena.  Lots are cash only.  Please be aware that event road closures and race morning traffic will add to congestion and likely increase your time to park.  We suggest arriving early and planning for delays.
